My interest in pedigree dogs started in 1975 when I owned a Spinone Italiano. For 30 years I bred and exhibited Smooth fox Terriers with the kennel name “Solcamp” later moving on to Cairn Terriers which I bred under the kennel name “Dark Lane”, producing specimens shown all over Europe. Thirty years ago I also campaigned the first Azawak registered in Italy. I was approved as an FCI judge in 2004 judging breeds in the Terrier group and all breeds in FCI groups 10 and 4 as well many in Group 9 and Italian breeds judging in Italy, Switzerland, Germany, the United States and Scandinavia. Other activities in the dog world are a special interest in Specialised Dog Publications where I have published both as author and illustrator; teaching aspiring dog trainers and handlers on the ENCI (Italian Kennel Club) courses. I have served on many committees including the Italian Terrier Society and currently I am the ENCI representative for the Society of Bergamasco Shepherd Dogs as well as President of the Bergamo Kennel Club. At the present time I live with two poodles and a Borzoi, who as well as a successful show career, is also licensed to course.
